Back in 1946, the Hohenlohe family aquired Finca Santa Margarita, 120,000 square meters of olive trees and vine lands. This "cortijo" (farmhouse) was to be their private residence. Over the years, this interest pushed them towards the creation of what is now known as the Marbella Club Hotel. From these early beginnings, it is not surprising that the Marbella Club is undisputedly accredited with giving birth to worldwide "Marbella fame". Juan Mora, Arnold ("Noldi") Schreck (Puerto Banus' designer) and for the newest extension, Melvin Villarroel, are only a few of the well-known architects that assisted on this project. It was the Hohenlohe's dream to transform their family residence into an exclusive club of 16 rooms that in 1954 became a luxurious complex of 129 guestrooms. ROOMS The Marbella Club Hotel comprises of 24 standard double rooms, 42 superior double rooms (15 with king sized beds), 17 de-luxe double rooms, 16 junior suites, 8 executive suites, 1 royal suite, 11 presidential suites, 10 bungalows (of 2 to 3 bedrooms).
